Jim Prigoff’s History of Graffiti Lecture at the PMCA

On Thursday, July 14th at 7pm, join author Jim Prigoff at the Pasadena Museum for California Art for a slide lecture on the history of graffiti. Prigoff has been documenting graffiti for 40 years, and is the author of Spraycan Art.

Roy’s Summer Grilling Cooking Class

Young Dubliners and Gene Loves Jezebel at T. Boyle’s Tavern

Award-winning soul singer Jamila Ford will be performing this Saturday, June 18 at the Vroman’s Jazz Stage as part of the Make Music Pasadena festival!

See Tita Lima Live This Saturday at Make Music Pasadena!

Singer, composer, and producer Tita Lima, will be performing her mixture of Brazilian pop music, Samba-Jazz, Bossa Nova, Hip-Hop and Dub at this year’s Make Music Pasadena! From the last.fm website:

“Born into a family of musicians, music came to Tita Lima naturally. She learned to play the piano with her grandmother and later the bass with her father, the bass player for the 70s rock band Os Mutantes, and has paid her dues in Sao Paulo’s musical scene playing bass , singing and sharing the stage with widely-recognized artists such as Bocato (Metalurgia, Elis Regina, Gal Costa, Maria Rita), Joao Donato, Luz de Caroline, Locosapiens, Luizao Tiu e Juneca, Nucleo and Dori Caymmi, among many others.”
